Last March, iGenius made its US debut at the Gartner Data & Analytics Summit in Orlando, FL, showcasing the GPT for numbers AI platform, Crystal.

This event was a great opportunity to discover and discuss this year’s data and analytics trends, and get takes from thought and industry leaders on topics such as data governance, generative BI, and conversational AI.

2023 Data & Analytics Trends

This year’s key topics included Data As A Service, Augmented Analytics, Data Ops and Observability, Data Clean Rooms, Synthetic Data Generation, Data Mesh, ESG Data, and, of course, Artificial Intelligence. From a business perspective, the most frequent questions asked at the Gartner summit were:

  • How to get real value from D&A to justify investments?
  • How to make the most of all the AI initiatives around D&A?
  • How do we manage the safety of our data to prevent risks and loss?
  • How to improve efficiency, drive growth and innovation?
  • How can businesses leverage AI in a safe and secure way?

All these crucial business questions had one point of common interest, ROI (Return onf Investment).

How to get Data & Analytics ROI

According to the 2022 McKinsey Global Survey on AI, AI adoption has more than doubled since 2017, showing all the potential of AI for driving change and innovation.

Unfortunately, there is no clarity on how to optimize resources and get real value from those investments (ROI).

In his speech at the Gartner summit, iGenius Found and CEO Uljan Sharka shared how iGenius’ vision can address the main data & analytics challenges that businesses face today.

"We have made lots of investments in Business Intelligence and Data & Analytics to create valuable data sets - gold mines for companies - but we are still struggling with the integration of systems and user adoption because they are too complex to deal with,” he said.

Uljan Sharka went on to say that Data & Analytics and AI experiences must be safe, simple, and accessible for everyone. That way, business users would be more encouraged to adopt the product, engage with it, and perform better as a result.

What ‘GPT for Numbers’ stands for

In a recent VentureBeat article, Crystal - the AI platform developed by iGenius - has been mentioned as 'GPT for numbers.'

ChatGPT showed us how to use generative AI for text; what if business users could use generative AI for data-related queries in a safe and simple way?

Crystal connects different data sources (Salesforce, SAP, Azure, Oracle, Google Sheets, etc..) in minutes, then certifies and unlocks business data's power in seconds.

Many problems addressed by business users at the Gartner summit could be solved by:

  • Democratizing business data - making data and insights accessible and exploiting the 'gold mines' mentioned above, without requiring technical data skills. No technical data skills required.
  • Humanizing the data experience - making data usage as intuitive and easy as sending a text message on a smartphone or placing orders online.

The iGenius Team at the Gartner Event in Orlando (US)

"To factor data & analytics trends into investments that drive growth, efficiency, resilience, and innovation, business leaders must ground results first. Providing a human-first experience to access those results resonates with even the most technical business leaders," said the iGenius' sales team in the US.

Next stop: the Data & Analytics Gartner Summit in London

Next May, the iGenius team will attend the Data & Analytics Gartner Event in London. We look forward to discovering more  data & analytics trends and introducing Crystal to even more companies.
